Q- What are the main fish caught in Barnstable Harbor? / What fish will I be able to catch?
A- Mid-May through mid-June, we can catch Black Sea Bass and Tautog around Barnstable Harbor (no more than a 10-mile trip to get to those fishing spots).
Mid-May through September we can catch Striped Bass July through September we can catch Bluefish These species can be found directly within Barnstable Harbor, or only a short trip (less than 10 miles) from the dock
Q- How comfortable/safe is the boat we’ll be fishing on?
A- The boat is perfect for a family of 4 (adults/2 kids), 2/3 adults, or a bunch (3 or 4) kids.
My license allows me to bring up to 6 people legally, but being a smaller boat, I like to cap the trip at 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 kids. It’s a center console boat, that allows 360-degree fishability and perfect for a quick 3 or 4-hour trip to get some fishing in.
Q- What types of fishing equipment do you have on the boat? Can I bring my own supplies?
A- All tackle is supplied by me. Spinning rods, live bait rods, and trolling rods are all brought on each trip so we can maximize fishing time with which tactic is working best for that morning. Guests are more than welcome to bring some of their supplies if they are so inclined.
Q- Are drinks included / can we bring our own drinks onto the boat?
A- Drinks are not included—all drinks are welcomed (beer, wine, alcohol), but glass bottles are asked to be left at the dock.
Q- Are there any additional costs on top of the pricing on the website?
A- No additional costs on top of the trip, however gratuities are appreciated.
Q- How experienced is Captain T Lange?
A- Worked on a charter boat in the summer from age 14 until 22. Got a corporate job for 4/5 years while still continuing to run or work on boats during the summertime. When I was 27, I went back to chartering full-time and have been so since!
